Drawing on Art History

This four‐week class will explore the art of “picture–‐making,” beginning with early man and finishing with the latest most modern art ideas.  You will journey through the caves of Lascaux, the high Renaissance, 18th and 19th century watercolor landscapes, and the modern art movements, using a variety of materials: iron oxide with clay, tin toiling, watercolors and acrylics. Four sessions. No experience necessary.

Four weeks: Wednesdays, May 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th,
12:30 – 2 p.m.

 

Class Size: Minimum 6/Maximum 16

 

Equipment/supplies needed:
Please bring a set of watercolors, 2 synthetic brushes and pencils. There will be a $10 material fee for other materials. Questions can be sent to the instructor in advance.

 

Participation Fee: $25, plus $10 materials fee.
Scholarships availablePlease do not let cost prevent you from participating!
